Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Level
3)

New York, NY | Acute Care

Contract | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week | Rotating shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights) | Floating, Weekends, Holidays, On-Call, Callback, and Charge duties per unit needs

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, fast-paced Adult Emergency Department managing more than 100,000 visits annually
• Care for a diverse patient population within one of the busiest trauma centers in the country, operating as the only Level I trauma facility in the area
• Utilize telemetry skills to monitor and assess patients as part of routine ED care
• Assist with boarder patients as needed based on unit demands
• Fulfill charge nurse responsibilities, floating assignments, and on-call or callback duties per unit needs

• Active New York State RN License (NY license required — no other state licenses accepted)
• Minimum of two (2) years of Emergency Department experience
• Telemetry experience required
• Previous travel ER nursing experience required — this position is not able to support first-time travelers
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• NIHSS certification required

• Experience in a Level I trauma center environment
• Comfort with high patient volumes and rapidly changing acuity levels
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to rotating shift schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
