Position Summary
The Korem Lab in the Department of Systems Biology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Scientist who will analyze exciting multi-omic datasets (mechanics, imaging, EHR, microbiome, metabolomics, immune profiles). This is a position for someone with computational biology experience and with excellent written and verbal communications, computer programming, bioinformatics, statistical analysis, and data visualization. The Postdoctoral Research Scientist is expected to perform the aforementioned tasks under the guidance of the PI, provide preliminary analyses for funding applications, and provide assistance to other lab members.
Duties
* Lead data analysis efforts in various multi-omic projects (75%).
* Maintenance and development of bioinformatic pipelines (10%).
* Provide assistance in data analysis to other lab members (5%)
* Prepare figures and text for manuscripts and presentations (5%).
* Perform other duties as assigned. (5%).
Functional Knowledge
* PhD with experience in biological data analysis, preferably
-omics and/or microbiome related.
Minimum Degree Required
- PhD, MD, or equivalent Doctoral Degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in data analysis
