Base salary range: USD $90,000 to USD $135,000 annually
We're rethinking homes for how people really live, and we're looking for a Store Manager to join our New York Retail team to help shape the future of living - one thoughtful detail at a time.

What you will be doing:
As leader of the store, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of the New York showroom, ensuring it consistently reflects our brand ethos and standards.
Store Management
- Develop and implement strategies to increase brand awareness and to achieve sales and profitability targets
- Analyse showroom data, customer insights and market trends to make informed decisions that attract customers and optimize showroom performance
- Ensure operational compliance with global retail procedures and operating standards, supported by clear SOPs, system manuals and toolkits for inventory management, floor management, visual merchandising, sales and budget planning
- Maintain accurate reporting, timekeeping, and operational records in compliance with New York City, state, and federal requirements. Ensure all showroom practices meet local labor and safety requirements.
- Lead, motivate, and mentor the showroom team to achieve individual and collective goals
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, implement trainings and identify opportunities for professional development
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture across the showroom and the Singapore-based HQ
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing coaching to develop high-performing teams
- Uphold all workplace policies, including health & safety, anti-harassment, non-discrimination and fair scheduling practices
- Drive omnichannel strategy in-store, focusing on seamlessly integrating the online and offline customer experience
- Implement in-store programs that enable customers to confidently evaluate and purchase our products. Continue following through with and engaging customers online after their showroom visits
- Resolve escalated customer issues with professionalism, empathy and sound judgement
- Ensure the showroom environment meets all brand standards for presentation, hospitality and accessibility
- Align showroom activities with marketing strategies (e.g., brand collaborations, seasonal campaigns, events)
- Collaborate with HQ teams to plan and implement campaigns, events, designing and implementation of new processes and systems
- Coordinate local retail initiatives for successful delivery of products and operational sustainability
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience as a store manager in retail preferably in the furniture or home goods industry. Prior interior styling experience is a plus
- Fluent English with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into actionable strategies
- Proven experience in developing and managing high-performing sales teams Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in MS Office suite of applications (Word, Excel and Outlook), Mac operating systems and iOS devices for showroom management and customer engagement
- Knowledge of omnichannel strategies and implementation in the retail industry is a plus
- Deep understanding of local market demographics, customer behavior and community engagement strategies
- Able to work flexible schedules; including days, nights, weekends and holidays, as required by business needs
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to move or lift up to 75 pounds and heavier with team assist
- Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the sales floor and stockroom areas
