• Patrol and Surveillance:
Conduct regular patrols of grounds, buildings, parking areas, and event spaces to deter unauthorized access and suspicious activity
• Access Control:
Manage entry points, verify credentials, and ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises
• Emergency Response:
Respond promptly to emergencies such as medical incidents, security breaches, or natural disasters, following established protocols and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services
• Incident Reporting:
Document all incidents, prepare detailed reports, and assist in investigations as needed
• Safety Compliance:
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, conduct routine safety inspections, and maintain working fire exits and safety equipment
• Crowd Control:
Assist with managing visitor traffic
Collaboration:
Work closely with staff, and local law enforcement to enhance security and safety
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Valid New York State Security Guard License
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally
• Ability to remain calm and make quick, sound decisions in high-pressure situations
• Keen observational skills to identify potential risks
• Knowledge of safety policies and emergency procedures.
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Background check and security clearance as required
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience in security or law enforcement
• Familiarity with behavioral threat assessment and de-escalation techniques

Work Environment The position involves working indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions, and may require standing for extended periods.
