Security Shift Supervisor
Allied Universal is hiring a Security Shift Supervisor to oversee a Financial Institution located in the Hudson Yards Area of Manhattan. Position is full time, work days available Monday - Sunday, work shifts available afternoon. Must exhibit great customer service skills, will be interacting with the general public on a daily basis and interaction with the client and staff. Hourly pay rate is $37.01 - $38.01 per hour.
The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for the security of a high profile client's facility, property, and surrounding campus for a designated shift. The Shift Supervisor performs general security duties as directed in the protection of persons and property and the enforcement of all applicable policies, rules, and regulations, as specified in post orders, and will deter criminal activity and misconduct.
Minimum requirements include the minimum of four years of military or law enforcement experience or a criminal justice degree.
Responsibilities include making emergency notifications as necessary, providing direction and instruction to subordinates, cross-training officers, making productivity and cost reduction recommendations, making recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders, making recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions, overseeing staffing, scheduling and on-site training, ensuring contract required training and screening elements, maintaining overtime, ensuring quality of service and contract compliance, and performing other operations and related functions.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, a current and valid driver's license, one or more of the following: an associate's degree of higher in any discipline, service in the active-duty military, military reserves, or National Guard, service in auxiliary police or police cadets, minimum of one (1) year verifiable and successful security experiences, minimum of two (2) years of verifiable work experience demonstrating excellent customer service skills, ability to maintain poise and self-control during emergency situations, capability of understanding and applying written and verbal orders, and of composing reports, effective oral and written communication skills, planning and organizing skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications, problem solving skills, coaching, mentoring, motivating skills, active listening skills, encouraging effective teamwork, assessing and evaluating situations effectively, synthesizing facts, concepts, principles, identifying critical issues quickly and accurately, compiling, sorting, and interpreting data, researching, investigating, compiling information, mediating conflict with tact, diplomacy, setting and achieving goals, and attending to detail.
Preferred qualifications include experience in emergency management systems FEMA incident command certification; ICO 100, 200, 300, and working knowledge of EMS protocols, medical first responder or emergency medical technician.
