* ** Position Details:*
* The Fire Life & Safety Director (FLSD) is responsible for overseeing all fire and life safety operations within a residential property in Manhattan. This role ensures full compliance with FDNY regulations, internal emergency procedures, and building safety protocols. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, composed under pressure, and capable of leading emergency response efforts while maintaining a professional presence.

* Key Responsibilities:

* + Serve as the designated  
** Fire Life & Safety Director** , ensuring compliance with all FDNY codes and regulations

+ Respond immediately to fire alarms, emergencies, and life safety incidents, coordinating response efforts as required

+ Monitor and operate fire life safety systems, access control, CCTV, and alarm systems

+ Conduct inspections of post areas, safety equipment, and security systems to ensure operational readiness

+ Review daily memos, alerts, and security notifications to remain informed of building conditions

+ Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and incident documentation

+ Communicate clearly with the Operations Desk, property management, and leadership regarding incidents or deficiencies

+ Maintain a high level of professionalism, alertness, and situational awareness at all times

** Requirements:*

** Valid NYS Fire Life & Safety Director Certification (F-89 or equivalent) - Required*
* +  
** Valid NYS Security Guard License - Required*
* + Minimum  
** 1 year of fire life safety or building security experience*
* + Strong emergency response, leadership, and communication skills

+ Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations

+ Availability to work the following schedule:
