As a Security Officer
- Media Company in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic media and technology location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while delivering outstanding customer service.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, talent, vendors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a media and technology location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, production areas, offices, common spaces, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
• Support a professional environment by communicating clearly with site personnel and following Allied Universal and client-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
