Amsterdam Nursing Home is hiring a Assistant Director of Recreation to work for our Skilled Nursing Facility in the heart of New York City.
DUTIES:
Assist in developing, implementing & supervising all recreational services
Assist in maintaining and developing recreational budget
Plans individual and group recreation services, both therapeutic and general
Assist in creating exciting & therapeutic recreation programs
Assist in supervising all recreation assistants and volunteers
Assist in all necessary documentation
Provide and monitor individual guidance and motivation to employees
Member of the interdisciplinary & management teams
REQUIREMENTS:
3 years of Recreation experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred
Excellent administrative and organizational skills
Must enjoy working with the senior population
