Fully Remote - Pay: $55 - $65 per hour W2 only
- Length:12 month Initial contract
- Utilization: 40 hours per week
- Timezone: ESTaligned, flexible
This role is ideal for a hungry, curious, and AInative engineer who wants to work across the full cloud and AI stack. You do not need years of machine learning experience-what matters is strong software fundamentals, comfort in the cloud, and fluency with modern AI development tools.
You'll join a small, high impact engineering team with real ownership, contributing directly to AIdriven capabilities such as voice agents, risk scoring, and intelligent clinical workflows. The scope is broad, expectations are high, and learning happens fast.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain cloud services, APIs, and pipelines that support AI and ML workloads.
- Design and evolve infrastructureascode using modern tooling (CDK, Cloud Formation, Terraform).
- Containerize services and ship production code through CI/CD pipelines.
- Integrate AI models and third party AI APIs into realworld systems.
- Actively use AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate development and share best practices with the team.
- Contribute to a secure, auditable architecture suitable for healthcare data and regulated environments.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and AI leadership on emerging AIdriven product capabilities.
Must Have
- Strong software engineering fundamentals: clean code, testing, debugging, and version control.
- Proficiency in Python (Type Script is a plus).
- Handson experience with AWS (or another major cloud platform).
- Experience writing or working with infrastructureascode.
- Comfort with containers, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Demonstrated use of AI development tools in daytoday workflows.
- Exposure to ML pipelines, LLM APIs, or agentic AI systems.
- Experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare or finance.
- Opensource contributions, side projects, or strong personal Git Hub portfolio.
- Work on a real AI platform in healthcare, not demos or experiments.
- Small team, broad scope-touch cloud, infrastructure, and AI systems endtoend.
- Strong AItooling culture with encouragement to push and shape how tools are used.
- Fully remote, autonomous environment with genuine ownership.
