Job Title: Q/KDB+ Developer

Location: New York, NY (On-site)
Type: Contract
Duration: Long-term contract
6+ years of experience in q/KDB+ development with strong skills in Python, Unix/Linux, Oracle SQL, CI/CD (Jenkins, Git, uDeploy), Agile, Dev Ops, and exposure to AWS, Java, Kafka, and front-end frameworks like Angular or React.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 6+ years of software development experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with q/KDB+ programming
  • Proficiency in Python, Shell/Perl scripting, Unix/Linux
  • Experience with relational databases such as Oracle
  • Solid understanding of application deployment pipelines and CI/CD tools
    • Git/Bitbucket Server (Stash), Jenkins, uDeploy
  • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Familiarity with artifact repositories (e.g., Artifactory) and API management tools (e.g., Apigee)
Nice to Have (Preferred):
  • Cloud experience (AWS: S3, EC2, Cloud Formation, Lambda with Python)
  • Exposure to Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka
  • Front-end frameworks:
    Angular or React
