Infrastructure Engineer

Title: Software Engineer - Infrastructure
Location: New York City (Onsite, 5 days/week)
Compensation: $200,000 - $440,000 base + equity

Overview
A fast-growing AI technology company operating at the frontier of large scale predictive systems is seeking an Infrastructure Software Engineer to help scale and optimise its core computational platforms. The company builds advanced simulation and intelligence products used by enterprise and researchdriven customers to make high impact decisions in complex environments.
This is a high ownership role within a small, elite engineering team where performance, reliability, and speed of execution are critical. Engineers are expected to operate with autonomy, intellectual rigour, and a strong bias toward production ready systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high performance, low latency infrastructure systems that support large scale computation
• Scale and maintain reliable data ingestion pipelines across diverse data sources
• Identify and resolve architectural inefficiencies across distributed systems
• Improve system reliability, observability, and performance at the infrastructure layer
• Partner closely with engineers and researchers to product ionise experimental systems
• Architect and implement infrastructure solutions that increase decision making speed and system throughput

Must Have Qualifications

• Strong experience solving engineering problems at the infrastructure or platform level
• Proven background building scalable systems used by large engineering teams
• Deep focus on performance, reliability, and developer experience
• Experience working with statically typed or algebraic type system languages
• Practical understanding of networking protocols and their limitations
• Experience transitioning research or experimental systems into production environments
