* AI fluency:
You know how to use AI tools to write code - responsibly.

Responsibilities:

* Design automated testing frameworks in Python for APIs, web, and mobile applications.

* Maintain CI/CD pipeline integrations that support automated validation and continuous delivery.

* Create scalable test environments and tools that accelerate release velocity and improve reliability.

* Partner with development, Dev Ops, and product teams to define test strategy and ensure quality from brainstorming through deployment.

* Apply observability and analytics to quality engineering - integrating logs, metrics, and telemetry to surface product insights.

* Demonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence and a commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world.

Basic Qualifications:

* 5+ years of experience in test automation, Test Ops, or software engineering.

* Familiarity with AI-assisted coding or automated test generation tools (Cursor, Copilot, or Claude), and writing agentic rules/contexts.
