Claude Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)
Location: New York City, Iselin, New Jersey (Hybrid)
Responsibilities
- Work directly with enterprise customers to design, build, and deploy AI applications powered by Claude LLMs.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into production-ready AI solutions.
- Develop AI agents, RAG applications, MCP servers, workflows, and enterprise automation solutions.
- Integrate Claude with enterprise applications using REST APIs, databases, and cloud services.
- Build scalable backend services using Python or Type Script .
- Design prompts, evaluation pipelines, and AI workflows to improve model accuracy and business outcomes.
- Implement secure, production-grade AI systems with monitoring, logging, and testing.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Solution Architects, and customer stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Travel to customer sites when required (approximately 25–50%).
- 5+ years of software engineering or solution engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python (preferred) or Type Script/Java Script .
- Hands-on experience with Claude API, OpenAI, or other enterprise LLM platforms.
- Experience building:
- Agentic AI applications
- RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
- MCP (Model Context Protocol)
- AI workflow automation
- Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, or Chroma.
- Knowledge of Lang Graph, Lang Chain, Llama Index, or similar AI frameworks.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Excellent customer-facing communication and consulting skills.
- Experience deploying enterprise AI solutions in production.
- Knowledge of prompt engineering, AI evaluation frameworks, and AI safety.
- Familiarity with cloud databases, Snowflake, or Databricks.
- Experience working in consulting, professional services, or customer implementation teams.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
