Lead Software Engineer
Senior Service Now Developer Experience 8-10 years
Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled Senior Service Now Developer with extensive experience across multiple Service Now modules including ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, SPM, HRSD, SECOPS, and Vulnerability Management. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in platform development, integrations, CMDB, CSDM, and advanced scripting, capable of delivering scalable, optimized solutions in complex enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement customized solutions on the Service Now platform across various modules to meet business requirements.
- Lead complex integrations using REST, SOAP, and other Service Now APIs to ensure seamless data flow between Service Now and external systems.
- Sustain and enhance the CMDB and Common Service Data Model (CSDM) to improve data quality, compliance, and visibility.
- Write advanced scripts including Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, and Flow Designer automations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, analysts, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Perform code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices to maintain high development standards.
- Mentor junior developers and foster knowledge sharing within the team.
- Stay updated with new Service Now releases, features, and best practices; apply these to existing and future implementations.
Required Qualifications:
- 10-12 years of progressive experience in Service Now development with hands-on expertise.
- Strong knowledge and experience in ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, SPM, HRSD, SECOPS, and Vulnerability Management modules.
- Proficient with CMDB, CSDM concepts, configuration, and governance.
- Expert-level scripting skills in JavaScript, Glide APIs, and Service Now platform scripting tools.
- Extensive integration experience using REST/SOAP web services and third-party connectors.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in team environments.
- Service Now certifications such as Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer, or module-specific CIS preferred.
