Consulting Software Engineer

Responsible for consulting on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering; reviewing and analyzing complex multi-faceted, larger-scale, and/or longer-term software engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented factors; utilize and apply knowledge of Hadoop, Teradata, MongoDB, AWS, GCP, Git Hub, Python, Unix/Shell scripting, Scala, Spark, HBase, and Kubernetes to accomplish necessary tasks;

contributing to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance; strategically collaborating and consulting with client personnel; designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting projects and programs; and monitoring dashboards using Grafana or Prometheus.

Location:

New York, NY and various unanticipated locations throughout the US

Salary: $168,480 per year (standard benefits apply)

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);

Experience:

Two (2) years in the position above, as a Specialist – Data Engineering, as a Systems Operations Engineer, as a Senior Engineer – Data Engineering, as a Software Developer, or in a related occupation;
Other Requirements:
Experience must include two (2) years' use of all the following:
Hadoop, Teradata, MongoDB, AWS, GCP, Git Hub, Python, Unix/Shell scripting, Scala, Spark, HBase, and Kubernetes. Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
