Mid-Level Full Stack Engineer
Simple Closure is seeking a Mid-Level Full Stack Engineer to help build Asset Hub — our marketplace for the assets left behind when a company shuts down: codebases, work spaces, proprietary data, domains, and talent. Our buyers include some of the top foundation model labs, RL environment providers, and AI agent builders in the world, who rely on Asset Hub as a differentiated source of proprietary data they can't get anywhere else.
You'll work across the stack to build the tools and products that power asset selling and buying, and to replace manual internal processes with technology so the team can scale. You'll work in a small, dedicated Asset Hub pod with product and design support, shipping in short cycles and owning features end to end — balancing frontend craftsmanship with backend problem-solving in a fast-moving startup environment.
* Candidates MUST be located in the New York City Metro area.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain full-stack features across Asset Hub — the buyer portal for browsing and licensing codebases and work spaces, domains, and the internal tools behind them.
- Implement clean, maintainable frontend experiences using Next.js, React, and Type Script.
- Write high quality, well-tested code and use AI tooling to move faster
- Build and integrate backend services, APIs, and data models to support asset selling and buying and to connect third-party and partner systems.
- Replace manual internal processes — asset intake, cataloging, pricing, deal tracking — with tooling that lets the team scale without adding headcount.
- Own features end to end, from technical design through deployment and iteration; debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in production.
- Work with sensitive material — codebases, workspace exports, and proprietary datasets — with strong attention to security, privacy, and PII handling.
- Collaborate effectively with Product, Design, and the GM of Asset Hub to translate ambiguous requirements into scalable technical solutions.
