Java Lead With Kafka, AWS
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Delivery Module Lead to join our dynamic software development team in New York City. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java full stack development, with expertise in AWS and Kafka. This role requires a hands-on approach to software development, leadership capabilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions. The position involves working in the office four days a week, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of full stack Java applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.
• Utilize AWS services to build scalable and reliable applications.
• Implement messaging solutions using Kafka to ensure efficient data processing and communication.
• Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in software development, including coding standards, testing, and documentation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the team.
• Proficiency in Java full stack development, including front-end and back-end technologies.
• Strong experience with AWS services and cloud-based architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka for real-time data streaming and processing.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.
• Experience with database technologies, both SQL and No
SQL.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization of applications.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in Java, AWS, or software development methodologies are a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects and teams effectively.
