This is a hybrid position based from our New York City office located in the Hudson Yards.

As a Forward Deployed AI Engineer (Associate), you will begin your journey building AI-native enterprise solutions alongside experienced engineers while working directly with customers. You will contribute to real-world AI implementations, rapidly learn enterprise technologies, and help deliver production-grade AI applications across SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP AI Core, and cloud-native environments. This role is ideal for engineers who are passionate about software engineering, Generative AI, and solving customer problems through hands-on development.

In this role, you will:

• Develop application features and AI-powered capabilities under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Build backend services, REST APIs, and frontend components for enterprise AI applications.
• Develop AI agents using LLMs, RAG, MCP, tool calling, and agent orchestration frameworks.
• Integrate SAP systems, enterprise APIs, databases, and external services into AI solutions.
• Support deployment on SAP BTP, SAP AI Core, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.
• Participate in customer workshops, discovery sessions, demos, and implementations.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
• Debug production issues and improve reliability and performance.
• Contribute reusable components and documentation.
• Continuously learn emerging AI technologies.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, IT, or related discipline. Strong Python programming fundamentals. Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering. Basic understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, and RAG. Exposure to Lang Graph, Lang Chain, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, Auto Gen, or similar. Knowledge of REST APIs, Git, Docker, SQL/No

SQL. Basic Kubernetes, cloud, and CI/CD understanding. Exposure to SAP BTP, SAP AI Core, or Joule is a plus. Strong analytical thinking, curiosity, and communication. Nice to have AI/ML internship or academic projects. Exposure to vector databases and knowledge graphs. Experience with Git Hub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code. Open-source or hackathon participation.

You will be part of a global Forward Deployed Engineering team delivering enterprise AI solutions for customers across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. You will work alongside experienced AI engineers while developing expertise in Generative AI, agentic systems, SAP technologies, and enterprise software delivery.
