Senior Rad Developer
Embark on a transformative journey as a Senior RAD Developer. At Barclays, our vision is clear – to redefine the future of banking and help craft innovative solutions. In this role, you will work in close collaboration with various Equity Derivatives Trading, Structuring, Sales, and Market Risk desks to develop software using enterprise technology stacks, delivering a direct impact on P&L.
You will support the effective retirement of legacy solutions while continuing to build next-generation platforms that enhance the group's offerings and enable the business to respond rapidly to emerging and evolving requirements.
To be successful as a Senior RAD Developer, you should have:
- Considerable experience of any of C++, Java, C# enterprise-level development TDD, Test-Driven Development experience
- Ample experience of Python development experience
- Knowledge of Excel VBA and interfacing with DLLs experience
- Ample experience of SQL DDL, DML experience
- Considerable interest and ability to troubleshoot enterprise large distributed systems
Other highly valued skills include:
- Front End development experience, Desktop and/or Web-based
- Detail-Oriented takes pride in taking accountability of tasks/solutions
- Good documentation habits
- Works well with team members and other stakeholders

This role is located in our New York, NY office.
Minimum Salary: $170,000 Maximum Salary: $230,000
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
Purpose of the role
To design, develop and improve software, utilizing various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.
Accountabilities
- Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
- Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
- Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
- Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
- Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
