Pay Range: $40- $43 an hour on W2
Role Description s:
We are seeking an experienced Automation Quality Engineer (QE) with strong expertise in test automation using Selenium and Cucumber.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing| developing| and maintaining scalable automation frameworks and ensuring the quality| reliability| and performance of applications throughout the software development lifecycle.
The role requires strong hands-on automation experience| programming skills| knowledge of modern testing methodologies| and the ability to collaborate effectively with developers| product owners| business analysts| and other QE engineers in an Agile environment.
Strong hands-on experience in Quality Engineering| Software Testing| and Test Automation. Strong experience with Selenium Web Driver for web application automation.
Strong experience with Cucumber and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
Proficiency in at least one programming language| preferably Java.
Strong understanding of Gherkin syntax| feature files| step definitions| hooks| and Cucumber test execution.
Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks using patterns such as Page Object Model (POM).
Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG. Experience with build and dependency-management tools such as Maven or Gradle. Experience with REST API testing using tools/frameworks such as REST Assured| Postman| or equivalent.
Experience working with Git-based source control and branching strategies.
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins| Git Hub Actions| Git Lab CI| or similar platforms.
Good understanding of SQL and relational databases for backend data validation.
Strong understanding of software testing concepts| including functional| regression| integration| end-to-end| smoke| and negative testing. Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC/STLC processes. Strong debugging| troubleshooting| analytical| and problem-solving skills.
