A well-funded technology company is building advanced automation and software systems for critical real-world industries. Its products operate in live environments where software directly coordinates physical operations, including logistics, food delivery infrastructure, transportation, and autonomous systems. We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to build and scale real-time applications that power live logistics and operational workflows. You'll work primarily with React and Type Script, building high-performance interfaces that consume continuously changing data through Web Sockets, Server-Sent Events, and GraphQL subscriptions. This is a hands-on role with ownership from architecture through production. You'll collaborate closely with backend engineers and operational teams while helping establish frontend engineering standards as the platform scales.

• Design and build high-performance React applications for real-time operational workflows
• Build interfaces powered by Web Sockets, SSE, and GraphQL subscriptions
• Own complex frontend projects from technical design through production rollout
• Improve frontend performance, reliability, latency, and scalability
• Build data-rich interfaces for live logistics and operational environments
• Contribute to mobile applications built with React Native
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers and operations teams
• Make architectural decisions around state management, data synchronization, and frontend infrastructure
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to frontend engineering standards
• Help scale the frontend platform as the company's operations expand

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong production experience with React and Type Script
• Experience building complex, high-performance frontend applications
• Experience working with real-time systems such as Web Sockets, Server-Sent Events, GraphQL subscriptions, live state synchronization
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture and performance optimization
• Ability to lead technical design from an initial problem through production
• Understanding of backend systems and APIs
• Strong ownership and ability to work independently
• Willingness to work on-site in New York City five days per week

• React Native or other mobile development experience
• Experience with logistics, transportation, delivery, marketplaces, or operational software
• Experience building mapping, dispatch, fleet, inventory, or real-time tracking interfaces
• Experience working on high-throughput consumer or operational platforms
• Strong system-design experience
• Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical projects

Experience at companies such as delivery marketplaces, logistics platforms, transportation technology companies, or other high-growth technology organizations is particularly relevant.
