Job Title: Warehouse Associate/Administrative Clerk/Inventory Clerk
Location: Brooklyn, NY 11237 - Onsite
Duration: 24
Months (Extension/Conversion based on performance).
Pay Rate: ($22-$22) hourly
Shift: M-F, 7 AM
-3:30 PM can flex if needed
Description:
- Looking for a warehouse, shipping, and material handling background person.
- The resource will perform a variety of manual/administrative tasks associated with receiving operations, shipping, inventory control, & stockroom, in accordance with established procedures.
- Utilize a variety of material handling/packaging equipment
- Identify correct parts, components, wires and other materials by part markings, color codes, container labels, etc.
- Utilize desktop instructions, parts lists, forms, & other work instructions to complete tasks
- Perform bulk counting utilizing scales and tape & reel counters
- Fill orders per bill of material (BOM) requirements
- Package parts in proper packaging material
- Follow proper material handling and packaging techniques to avoid damage
- Follow proper procedures for storing, shelving, and placing inventory
- Utilize computer systems and printers (e.g., recording inventory transactions, generating labels, and labor charging)
- Conduct cycle counts and record results
- Track materials (physical and systems)
- Package & ship materials per shipping instructions
- Unload trucks, utilizing appropriate lifting equipment as needed
- Distribute material to internal plant locations
- Build & break down boxes
- Collect and properly dispose of materials
- Maintain appropriate levels of packaging supplies; replenish as needed
- Recognize & take steps to resolve inventory discrepancies/work area issues
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed (e.g. cycle counts, labor charging)
- Minimum of 2 years directly related experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
