Project Accountant

Location: Long Island City

Description We are looking for a skilled Project Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Long Island City, New York. This role is ideal for someone with expertise in construction accounting and project-based financial management who pays close attention to detail. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of accounting processes for various construction projects.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the financial management and reporting for construction projects, ensuring all accounting activities align with project budgets and timelines.

- Prepare detailed financial statements and reports related to project costs, revenues, and expenditures.

- Monitor and analyze project budgets to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

- Utilize Deltek Vision software to streamline accounting processes and maintain accurate financial records.

- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

- Manage invoices, payments, and expense tracking for construction projects.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies throughout all project phases.

- Conduct regular audits of financial data to verify accuracy and completeness.

- Assist in forecasting and financial planning to support project delivery goals.

- Provide training and guidance on accounting systems and processes to team members as needed. Requirements
