Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Liverpool

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Liverpool, New York. This is a long-term contract position that requires strong attention to detail and expertise in managing accounts payable processes within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in accounting software and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

- Manage general accounts payable tasks, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.

- Process organizational batches and maintain detailed records for efficient tracking.

- Perform 3-way matching to verify purchase orders, invoices, and delivery receipts.

- Handle the processing of 20-40 invoices each week with precision.

- Conduct account coding and invoice coding to ensure proper allocation of expenses.

- Execute Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and manage check runs effectively.

- Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and maintain compliance with company policies.

- Utilize Great Plains accounting software to manage and streamline accounts payable operations.

- Maintain integrity and efficiency in all financial processes while adhering to deadlines.

- Provide support for audits and reporting requirements as needed. Requirements - Previous experience in accounts payable within the manufacturing industry.

- Advanced proficiency in Great Plains accounting software.

- Strong skills in account coding, invoice coding, and financial reconciliation.

- Familiarity with ACH payments and check run processes.

- Proven ability to manage 3-way matching and handle high-volume invoice processing.

- Demonstrated commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.

- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and resolve issues promptly.
