Overview

Our client, a top New York City law firm, is seeking a Junior Accounting Clerk
. This position is fully on site in Midtown Manhattan
. This position is a fantastic entry-level opportunity to get your foot in the door at a truly great company and be mentored by experienced Accountants.

Job Details
  • Assist with basic accounting tasks, including data entry, reconciliations, and invoice processing
  • Help maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software and spreadsheets
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to process and record financial transactions, ensuring compliance with firm policies and relevant regulations
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining financial reports, summaries, and statements for review by senior accounting staff
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by organizing and compiling necessary documentation
  • Assist in handling accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including tracking invoices, payments, and client billing
  • Adhere to confidentiality standards and ensure the security of sensitive financial information
  • Salary Range: $55-60k annually, based on experience
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar required
  • Some accounting experience required
  • Precise, detail-oriented, and good with numbers
  • Strong Excel skills and generally tech savvy
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
