LHH is partnering with a growing organization in the distribution industry to identify a talented Accountant for a newly created role. This company serves diverse sectors with specialty products and tailored solutions, and is focused on operational excellence and innovation.
Role OverviewThe Accountant will manage core accounting functions while leveraging analytical skills to uncover trends and improve efficiency. This is an exciting opportunity to shape processes and make a measurable impact.
Experience in distribution or logistics is a plus, along with strong knowledge of inventory management, consumer products, and cost of goods sold (COGS).
Key Responsibilities Accounts Receivable (AR)- Handle invoicing, collections, and reconciliation.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and resolve issues promptly.
- Process vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliations accurately and on time.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends in revenue, margins, expenses, and profitability.
- Support ERP system enhancements and process improvements.
- Prepare internal reports and dashboards for leadership.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience (AR/AP focus).
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data tools.
- Knowledge of inventory accounting, consumer products, and COGS preferred.
- Experience in distribution or logistics a plus.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
