We are seeking a Full-Time Law Firm Accountant to join a busy and growing legal team in New York, NY
. This onsite role offers an exciting opportunity to manage full-charge bookkeeping responsibilities in a fast-paced, collaborative legal environment.
As an accountant, you will oversee daily financial transactions
, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance. This role involves managing debits/credits
, reconciling bank statements, merchant service fees, and preparing detailed financial reports.
Experience with
IOLA/ trust accounting is essential to safeguard client funds and maintain regulatory compliance.
Your contributions will be critical to the smooth financial operations of the team. You will have the chance to streamline processes
, enhance accuracy, and work closely with legal professionals in a vibrant, supportive environment.
- Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and trust accounts
- Prepare financial reports and analyses
- Support financial process improvements and ensure compliance
- Experience with garnishments
- Must have significant experience with IOLA/ Trust Accounting
- Proven experience as an accountant in a professional environment (legal experience preferred)
- Expertise in Accounts Payable and Receivable management
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
- Experience with Clio or other systems
- Competitive salary: $70,000- $90,000 (based on experience)
