This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations:
Dune Deck Beach Club, set in Westhampton Beach, New York.
Dune Deck Beach Club is seeking a full time, Seasonal Accounts Payable Specialist to join the Finance and Accounting Department. This position is available April – October, 2026.
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Accountant/AP Specialist to join our finance team and contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.
** Key Responsibilities**
* ** Accounts Payable and Receivable:**  + Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice coding, approval, and payment processing.  + Support the accounts receivable process by preparing and sending invoices, and monitoring collections.
* ** Expense Management:**  + Reconcile and analyze expenses, ensuring proper classification and adherence to budgetary guidelines.  + Assist in expense report processing and reimbursement.
* ** Audit Support:**  + Prepare documentation and schedules for internal and external audits.  + Assist auditors with inquiries and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
* ** Compliance and Internal Controls:**  + Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.  + Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls.

* Education:

**  + Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

* Experience:

**  + Entry-level position; prior internship or coursework in accounting or finance is a plus.
* ** Technical

Skills:

**  + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.  + Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
* ** Attention to Detail:**  + Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling.  + Ability to identify and correct errors.
* ** Communication:**  + Effective written and verbal communication skills.  + Ability to collaborate with team members and other departments.
* ** Time Management:**  + Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* ** Adaptability:**  + Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.  + Ability to adapt to changes in priorities or tasks.

* Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.

* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and a shift greater than eight (8) hours in length.
