ABOUT THE ROLE:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for managing key accounting functions including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial tracking across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MIP/Abila, Quick Books Online, Excel, and financial systems integration, with a proactive approach to problem‑solving and process improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Reconcile deposits from banks, Stripe, and other platforms against Salesforce and internal records to ensure accuracy and transparency.
- Perform monthly cash receipts reconciliations and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions across all accounts.
- Monitor and track invoices and spending related to Day of Service (DOS) activities, ensuring alignment with approved project budgets.
- Record journal entries, payments, and receipts in Quick Books Online and MIP, ensuring alignment between two systems.
- Collaborate with program and development teams to ensure accurate tracking of funds.
- Track and reconcile American Express (AMEX) expenditures, follow up on outstanding balances.
- Assist with the Accounts Payable (AP) cycle, including invoice review, coding, approvals, and timely disbursement of payments via in compliance with organizational policies.
- Contribute to process improvements and the development of financial policies and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or nonprofit accounting certification a plus
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably with a non‑profit
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, formulas, and reconciliation tools).
- Familiarity with MIP, Quickbooks, Salesforce, Stripe, and donor management systems is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of non‑profit accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities

- Hybrid schedule:
In office Tuesday–Thursday. Remote Monday & Friday - 11 paid holidays + 3 floating holidays
