Staff Accountant - AR

Description

Nick Corieri from Robert Half is working with an Ithaca area client of his that is looking to hire a Staff Accountant with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable. This organization has excellent benefits, terrific work life balance and an opportunity to grow!

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and record journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.

- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to support proper accounting practices.

- Oversee billing operations, including Medicaid billing, ensuring compliance with regulations.

- Manage accounts receivable processes, including tracking payments and resolving discrepancies.

- Utilize FUND E-Z software for efficient financial management and reporting.

- Assist in month-end close procedures, verifying data and generating reports.

- Collaborate with payroll to ensure timely and accurate employee compensation.

- Provide financial insights to support organizational decisions and planning.

- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

- Support audits and provide necessary documentation as needed.

Requirements

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on accounts receivable.

- BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study.

- Proficiency in journal entries and general ledger management.

- Excellent organizational and analytical skills for problem-solving and data interpretation.
