Accounting Manager

Position Overview

The Accounting Manager will be the first internal accounting hire in the U.S., responsible for owning day-to-day accounting operations, establishing processes, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role will work closely with the President and collaborate with our external CPA firm to support compliance, tax, and monthly financial close. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, proactive, and comfortable building accounting functions in a scaling environment.

• Manage all U.S. accounting activities using Quick Books, including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and account maintenance.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Prepare internal financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses for leadership.

• Develop and implement accounting processes, workflows, and best practices for a growing U.S. operation.
• Establish internal controls to support financial accuracy and reduce operational risk.
• Recommend and implement improvements to systems, policies, and tools.

• Act as primary liaison with our external CPA firm, including tax filings, financial reviews, and audit preparation.
• Support payroll providers, banks, and other third‑party financial partners.

• Partner with leadership on budget planning, forecasting, and cash‑flow management.
• Provide financial insights to inform decision‑making across the organization.
• Support inventory, cost‑tracking, and ecommerce‑related accounting needs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA a plus.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; retail or ecommerce experience preferred.
• Strong proficiency with Quick Books and a deep understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience working with or within CPA firms is highly beneficial.
• Hands‑on, self‑starter attitude with the ability to build processes from the ground up.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with executive leadership.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Salary $90,000-$95,000
