As a Senior / Lead Accountant at Entrupy, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the company's financial integrity and success. You'll work closely with finance leadership and external accounting teams to ensure accurate, timely, and audit-ready financial reporting. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting compliance, and providing insights that drive decision‑making. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

- Partner with external accounting teams to ensure the preparation and maintenance of accurate journal entries and account reconciliations in Xero, and own key components of the month‑end close process.
- Prepare and review close schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation that feed into monthly financial statements prepared by our external accounting teams.
- Oversee core operational accounting workflows, including accounts payable, payroll, customer billing, and accounts receivable, in partnership with AP staff, external accounting providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee vendor relationships, procurement and approval workflows, invoice coding, and payment processing, ensuring compliance with controls and timely payments using Ramp and Brex.
- Oversee customer invoicing, payment processing, and collection efforts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness, in coordination with Sales / Revenue Operations and external partners.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Support audits by preparing schedules and documentation as required.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies.
- Play a key role in the implementation and ongoing improvement of accounting systems and tools.
- Assist with ad‑hoc financial analysis and projects as assigned.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Act as a trusted accounting partner to Operations, Sales, and leadership. Synthesize information, gain alignment, and stay up to date on emerging business trends and developments.
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA) is highly preferred. - Experience:
6–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including several years operating at a Senior Accountant or Lead level, ideally in a SaaS or technology company. - Technology
Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QBO, Netsuite, Ramp, Brex) and advanced Excel skills. - Business & Analytical Judgment:
Ability to analyze financial results, identify drivers of variance, flag risks, and provide clear insights to finance and business partners. Brings a proactive mindset to improving processes, controls, and data quality in support of company goals. - Operational Rigor:
Demonstrated ability to manage complex, detail‑oriented accounting workflows with a high degree of accuracy, organization, and timeliness. - Team
