Location: Whitestone, NY (Onsite – 5 days/week)
Salary: $50,000 annually
Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Account Assistant to join our team in Whitestone, NY. This is a full-time, onsite position requiring strong hands-on experience with Quick Books and Quick Books Online. The ideal candidate will handle day-to-day accounting functions, support accurate financial reporting, and communicate effectively in Mandarin Chinese as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and manage general ledger accounts
- Perform daily bookkeeping using Quick Books and Quick Books Online
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Assist with payroll processing and payroll journal entries
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Work with management and external accountants as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients, vendors, or team members as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Strong proficiency in Quick Books and Quick Books Online (required)
- Solid understanding of accounting principles
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (required)
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Full-time, onsite position
- Monday–Friday, in office every day
