Real Estate Accountant

Job SummaryA growing real estate management firm is seeking a Real Estate Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations across a multi-state multifamily portfolio. This role offers strong exposure to property-level financials, month-end close, and the full real estate lifecycle, and is ideal for someone looking to grow within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare and assist with monthly and periodic financial statements
- Record month-end journal entries and support close process
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and review escrow accounts
- Review general ledger coding and work with AP and AR teams to ensure accuracy
- Support day-to-day accounting operations and special projects
- Identify opportunities to improve internal controls and financial procedures
- Assist with reporting and financial tracking across a multifamily portfolio
- 2-4 years of accounting experience
- Real estate or property management accounting experience preferred
- Yardi Voyager experience strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
