Tax Manager

We are seeking to hire a Tax Manager, could sit in Jericho or NY, NY. This is with well-established mid-sized CPA and Business Consulting Firm (50–100 professionals) with offices in Midtown NYC and Jericho, Long Island is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its growing Jericho team.

• Assume full responsibility for the preparation and review of various tax returns, including individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts & estates
• Manage and maintain strong client relationships
• Conduct in-depth tax research utilizing tools such as CCH, XCM, and RIA
• Assist Partners with strategic tax planning initiatives
• Mentor, coach, train, supervise, and evaluate tax staff
• Provide oversight and direction to tax staff accountants in delivering tax services
• Actively participate in client business development efforts
• Manage multiple engagements while meeting deadlines and budget parameters

• Active CPA license (required at time of application)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation
• 6–15 years of recent, relevant U.S. public accounting experience
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
• Strong tax review experience with broad exposure across tax areas
• Excellent technical and research skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized with strong time management skills
• Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
• Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements independently
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels, both internally and externally
