Overview
We are seeking an in-person tax preparer with experience in tax-related tasks. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of data entry processes, particularly in the context of tax preparation. Familiarity with Drake software and knowledge of New York State sales tax regulations is highly desirable. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

** Responsibilities**
- Accurately input, update, and maintain client financial and tax-related data in firm databases and tax preparation software
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic client files in accordance with firm policies and compliance requirements
- Provide administrative support including document management, recordkeeping, answering phones, and communicating with clients in a professional manner
- Prepare and file New York State sales tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
- Assist with data verification and quality control to support accurate tax filings and financial records
- Collaborate with accountants and administrative staff to improve workflow efficiency during peak tax seasons
