Staff Accountant

A well-established construction and AEC-focused organization is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations across a project-driven environment. The firm supports ongoing construction and professional services work and offers a collaborative accounting team with exposure to both corporate and project-related financial activities.

This role is ideal for an accountant looking to strengthen their core accounting foundation while gaining experience in a project-based industry.

• Assist with general ledger accounting, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Support month-end close and internal financial reporting
• Assist with job cost tracking and project-related accounting activities
• Support accounts payable and receivable processes as needed
• Help prepare supporting schedules for audits and internal reviews
• Maintain accurate financial data within the company’s accounting system
• Partner with project teams and internal stakeholders on financial questions
• Support process improvements and ad hoc accounting requests

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2–4 years of accounting experience (project-based or AEC exposure a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Excel
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (construction or AEC systems a plus)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
