Senior Financial Accountant

Are you a public or corporate accounting professional with experience in food manufacturing or wholesale looking to take the next step in your career? Our client—a growing, well-established food wholesaler—is seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Financial Accountant to join its expanding finance team.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a hands‑on, operationally focused environment. You will play a key role in strengthening financial reporting, improving processes, and supporting leadership with accurate, timely financial insights.

• Prepare accurate, GAAP‑compliant financial statements and monthly reporting packages.
• Manage month‑end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Support inventory accounting, cost accounting, and margin analysis in a high‑volume distribution environment.
• Partner closely with operations, purchasing, and supply chain teams to ensure financial accuracy.
• Improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting workflows.
• Support audit preparation and system enhancements.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and support strategic and operational initiatives.

• 1–6+ years of experience in public accounting or corporate accounting within food manufacturing, food distribution, or wholesale environments.
• Strong understanding of inventory, costing, and operational accounting.
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience working in ERP systems and high‑volume transaction environments.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Collaborative, accountable, and solutions‑driven approach.
