Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant will assist with the day-to-day functions of the accounting department by maintaining financial procedures and ensuring accuracy and presentation in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS.

• Assist with and participate in month-end closing procedures.
• Perform accounting operations and reporting.
• Provide information and work with auditors during year-end audit.
• Assist in financial decision making by providing analysis on the performance trends.
• Perform reconciliation of bank accounts, intercompany balances, and balance sheet.
• Analysis and reconciliation of workers’ comp liability and union benefits liability.
• Adheres to accounts payable processes and looks for ways to continuously improve process of vendor payments.
• Match purchase orders to invoices.
• Scan invoices to Project Manager for coding/approval.
• Process Job Cost Adjustments.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 3-5 years of related accounting experience. Heavy civil industry experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient interpersonal and organization skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
