Overview

Interim Accounting Manager - CPG Our client, a rapidly growing consumer packaged goods company, is seeking an Interim Accounting Manager to support its expanding portfolio of food and beverage products. The position is 100% remote. This engagement has an expected duration of 3-6 months.

• Manage all core accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
• Lead the monthly close process, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely financial reporting.
• Maintain balance sheet integrity with a focus on inventory accounting and reconciliations.
• Design, implement, and enhance financial systems, internal controls, and scalable processes to support growth.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Partner with supply chain teams to deliver actionable financial insights tied to production, sourcing, and inventory movement.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities in collaboration with business leaders.
• Support external audit preparation and controllership activities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across accounting processes and reporting workflows.

• 7+ years of hands-on accounting experience within the Food & Beverage or broader CPG industry.
• CPA required.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, inventory accounting, and cost accounting.
• Experience with Net Suite or similar ERP systems.
• Proven ability to lead accounting operations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
