Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accountant with strong cost accounting expertise to join our finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the organization's financial accuracy, supporting project profitability, ensuring compliance, and providing insights that guide strategic decisions in a fast-paced and creative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Analyze account discrepancies, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support external audit processes by preparing required documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure proper supporting documentation.
Cost Accounting
  • Track and analyze material, labor, and overhead costs across all projects.
  • Monitor job costing, project budgets, and overall project profitability.
  • Partner with production and project teams to validate cost accuracy and support operational decision‑making.
  • Identify cost variances, conduct root‑cause analysis, and recommend process improvements.
  • Assist with pricing models for artworks, commissions, and fabrication projects.
Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
  • Support AP and AR workflows, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, collections, and payment processing.
Tax Compliance & Reporting
  • Assist with sales tax, payroll tax, and other regulatory filings.
  • Maintain organized documentation to support tax audits and compliance requirements.
Budgeting & Financial Analysis
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting.
  • Prepare variance analyses and deliver financial insights to support business planning and strategic decisions.
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of accounting experience, including hands‑on cost accounting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, self‑driven work ethic.
  • Experience with Zoho, and Quick Books Online a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer (up to 8 hours per day).
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, data entry, and handling paperwork.
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching to access files or office supplies.
  • Ability to lift and carry office materials or boxes weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • Visual acuity to read documents, spreadsheets, and computer screens.
  • Ability to hear and communicate clearly in person and by phone.
  • Standard office environment with moderate noise levels.
  • Regular business hours, with occasional overtime during busy accounting cycles or reporting deadlines.
