Audit Manager

Our client is a highly respected public accounting firm seeking an experienced Audit Manager with CPA experience and a strong understanding of auditing insurance companies. This position is fully remote 5 days a week.

• Manage and lead audits for insurance industry clients with accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards (including NAIC requirements)
• Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements, including team supervision and client communication
• Serve as a technical resource on accounting and audit matters specific to insurance clients
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on audit and financial reporting issues
• Train, mentor, and review the work of staff and senior auditors
• Monitor changes in accounting standards and industry regulations impacting insurance companies
• Contribute to internal process improvements and firm initiatives
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• CPA license preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience, with significant exposure to the insurance industry
• Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and statutory accounting principles applicable to insurers
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
• Proficiency in audit and accounting software (e.g., Case Ware, CCH, or similar platforms)
