We are hiring for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to provide coverage for a 3–4-month assignment. This role plays a key part in supporting day‑to‑day AP operations and partnering closely with leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and update vendor records within the company’s accounting system.
- Review, code, and process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and on schedule.
- Manage weekly check runs.
- Prepare subcontractor waivers.
- Reconcile and process union reports.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Record and post EFT payments.
- Process check requests and employee expense reports.
- 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills when working with vendors and internal teams.
- 1–4 years of AP experience within a high‑volume environment.
- Experience working with any ERP system (Viewpoint experience a plus).
- Experience in payroll, invoice processing, reconciliation, 3‑way match, coding, and vendor management.
This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
