Experienced accountant responsible for overseeing month-end close, preparing accurate financial statements, performing complex reconciliations and variance analysis, supporting audits and tax filings, and ensuring timely, compliant financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Lead month-end close cycle: prepare and post recurring and adjusting journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements, management reports, and month-to-date/quarter-to-date variance analyses.
- Perform complex balance sheet reconciliations (intercompany, fixed assets, inventory, prepaid/deferral accounts) and resolve discrepancies.
- Support external audits and internal control testing; prepare schedules and respond to auditor inquiries.
- Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure GAAP compliance.
- Assist with periodic forecasting, budgeting inputs, and ad-hoc financial analyses as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 4–7 years of progressive general accounting experience, including general ledger and month-end close.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience supporting external audits.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Infor, Net Suite).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
