Senior Property Accountant

Property Management group based in Manhattan is looking for a highly skilled, experienced, and motivated Senior Property Accountant responsible for preparing all financial statements and providing management/client with financial information requested.
Yardi a must!

• Analyze financial data and summarize in a clear, useful manner.
• Prepare financial statements and reporting packages.
• Preparing and entering journal entries.
• Prepare work papers and participate in the annual audits.
• Prepare month end journal and closing entries.
• Prepare monthly bank requisitions.
• Prepare monthly property allocation (if any.)
• Review monthly billings statements.
• Review accuracy of rent rolls.
• Prepare CAM and tax reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze annual budgets.
• Maintain weekly cash position analysis.
• Communicate and process monthly debt service.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
• Experience with Yardi software.

• 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Senior Property Accountant.
• Bachelor’s Degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university.
• Prior public accounting experience is a plus.
• Yardi or MRI experience helpful. Real estate industry experience required.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with CAM/Tax billings helpful.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Effective leadership abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Meticulous attention to details and accuracy.
