General Purpose of Job

The Senior Corporate Accounting Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight and operational leadership of the corporate accounting function. This role serves as a critical partner to senior leadership, driving financial integrity and process excellence across the organization. The Senior Corporate Accounting Manager will oversee all aspects of the monthly close cycle, ensure adherence to GAAP standards, and maintain audit‑ready financial records.

In addition, the Senior Corporate Accounting Manager will lead a high‑performing team, champion continuous process improvement initiatives, and serve as the primary liaison to external auditors and tax professionals, ensuring the organization’s accounting practices reflect the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the corporate accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance management
  • Own the monthly close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements, and variance analyses
  • Maintain and improve documented accounting policies, internal controls, and procedures
  • Coordinate with external tax professionals and government agencies on company filings
  • Serve as the accounting lead on enterprise‑wide initiatives, collaborating with senior stakeholders across Finance, Sales, HR, and Operations to evaluate business decisions, resolve accounting complexities, and ensure GAAP‑compliant outcomes
  • Identify and lead initiatives to streamline accounting processes
  • Partner with divisional and senior leaders on accounting and finance matters
  • Serve as the primary liaison for the external auditors; coordinate audit schedules, prepare requested documentation, and resolve findings
  • Support ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed
Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, with 8–10 years of progressive experience (CPA preferred)
  • Strong foundation in GAAP, accrual accounting, and cost accounting
  • Experience with percentage‑of‑completion and project‑based accounting (manufacturing or wholesale distribution background a plus)
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines, competing priorities, and confidential information with discretion
  • Strong communicator who can translate financial data for non‑finance audiences
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to adhere to month‑end close timelines
  • Oracle Net Suite, AS400, Concur Invoice, and Concur Expense experience a plus
Work Schedule/Hours

Hybrid schedule onsite (2–3 days per week) Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM EST

Pay Range

$140–160K annually based on experience
