Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations in Caledonia, New York. This contract position with permanent potential is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-focused, and comfortable handling a mix of payable, receivable, and data entry tasks. The person in this role will help maintain accurate records, process invoices efficiently, and contribute to smooth accounting workflows using Quick Books and related systems.
Responsibilities:
- Manage incoming invoices, verify details for accuracy, and prepare them for timely payment processing.
- Record and update accounts receivable transactions while helping track outstanding balances and incoming payments.
- Enter financial and vendor information into accounting systems with a high level of accuracy and consistency.
- Use Quick Books to maintain organized records, post transactions, and support routine accounting activities.
- Review documentation for completeness and follow up on discrepancies to keep financial data current and reliable.
- Assist with invoice processing tasks and support ongoing improvements to administrative accounting procedures. Requirements - Experience supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable functions in an accounting or clerical setting.
- Working knowledge of Quick Books and confidence using accounting software for daily transaction entry.
- Strong data entry skills with close attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to process invoices efficiently while maintaining organized financial records.
- Comfortable handling multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and following established procedures.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external contacts.
