• Research and analyze federal income tax issues, including accounting methods, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, timing issues, digital assets, and other matters.
• Assist with M&A tax structuring and internal restructuring.
• Draft emails, memos, and firm-wide alerts on current developments in federal income tax.
• Assist with firm-wide training in federal income tax.
• Assist with federal domestic tax due diligence for M&A transactions and accounting methods.

• 8+ years of progressive federal income tax consulting and/or accounting methods experience (large law firm, large accounting firm, or IRS experience preferred).
• J.D. and Tax LL.M.

• Experience working with partnerships, S corporations, and/or C corporations and accounting methods.
• Strong analytical and writing skills.
• Proficiency with tax research databases such as Bloomberg BNA and RIA Checkpoint.

Salary for Minnesota and Illinois ranges from $140,000 to $270,000; other geographies may vary. Compensation is determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
