Junior Accountant

Position Overview The Junior Accountant supports day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities. This role focuses on transactional accuracy, reconciliation support, and assisting with the month-end close process in a fast-paced accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities Process invoices, expense reports, and payments with accurate general ledger coding Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including vendor and customer communication Prepare and post journal entries and maintain supporting documentation Perform account and bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting Maintain organized financial records and schedules Assist with internal and external audit requests by providing required documentation Monitor transactions and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards Support ad hoc projects and process improvement initiatives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 0-2+ years of accounting or finance experience (internship experience acceptable) Understanding of basic accounting principles (AP, AR, GL) Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs preferred)

Experience with accounting systems (e.g., Quick Books, Net Suite, Sage Intacct, or similar) is a plus High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Preferred Skills Experience in a high-volume transactional environment Exposure to month-end close and reconciliations Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
