We are currently seeking a Tax Senior to join a respected and fast-growing CPA firm in the NYC metro area.

This is a great opportunity for someone who’s confident handling complex tax engagements, enjoys mentoring junior staff, and is looking to deepen their impact in both compliance and advisory work.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships
• Lead client engagements, ensuring timely and accurate completion of deliverables
• Analyze financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities and planning strategies
• Collaborate with partners and managers on high-level tax matters and client advisory
• Supervise, train, and support junior team members during engagements
• Research complex tax issues and summarize findings clearly and concisely
• Stay current with changes in federal and New York State tax laws and regulations
• Communicate with clients to address tax-related questions and coordinate documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (Master’s in Taxation a plus)
• CPA license required
• 3–5 years of experience in public accounting with a strong focus on tax
• Proficiency with tax software such as CCH Axcess, Ultra Tax, or similar platforms
• Solid understanding of federal and NY State tax laws and filing requirements
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
